National Crime Victim's Rights Week - Boy Scouts, Venture Crew, Rotary Club, Mission TX

National Crime Victim's Rights Week

24 Boy Scouts, Crew Members, Leaders, Community Service Members and Parents supported Mission Police Department’s National Crime Victim’s Rights Week by giving out 636 beverages provided by the Rotary Club of Mission, TX.
 

Troop 1623, Troop 80, and Venture Crew 1849 supported this community event and also were able to gain experience in “Learning for Life” skills, Emergency Preparedness, and basic Mass Care Operations. Blackstar Group’s Special Response Team provided coordination and emergency first aid equipment along with the Rotary Club of Mission – Cardiac Science G3 Auto AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). The AED is part of the Rotary Club of Mission’s Public Access Defibrillator Program for the community. The Scouts, Crew Members, and Adult Leadership have been trained in Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED.

The Assistant Chief of Police and Director of the Victims Unit acknowledge the efforts and appreciation of the Scouts, Crew Members, and the Rotary Club of Mission for supporting and participating in this national event
